Our Aims

Our aims are to continue to supply the market with our products of the very best quality, with prompt delivery.  To further enhance and continually improve all our quality control checks, to make our product the best and most reliable in the market.

Organization

Every year we meet with our group of over 150 growers to discuss the forthcoming season.  The ‘Export program’ created by the demands of our customers, is implemented and the growers then decide on their varieties and  planting program.  At this point the final decisions are taken, and the growers will be given their chosen certified potato seed.

Supervision

Our Growers have years of experience and dedication to their work.  We give  our guidelines and support and request from them that all Growers be Global Gap Certified.

What is Global G.A.P Certified?

Retailers also use this number for business-to-business traceability to ensure GLOBALG.A.P. is a business-to-business standard for safe and sustainable food production.

GLOBALG.A.P. globally connects farmers and brand owners in the production and marketing of safe food to provide reassurance for consumers.The GLOBALG.A.P. Standard sets very strict criteria for Good Agricultural Practices that farmers must comply with if they want to sell their products to major retailers around the world. And retailers rely on GLOBALG.A.P. Certification to ensure that the products they sell to their consumers can be traced back to a certified farm or production facility.

How can I identify certified products? 
The GLOBALG.A.P. Standard is a business-to-business certificate and not a consumer label. However, consumers can still verify whether the products they buy are GLOBALG.A.P. certified:

For Fruit & Vegetables: 
On the packaging of several products, you can find a 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN). This number identifies the producer or producer group. As a consumer, you can use it to verify whether the product is from a certified producer or not in the GLOBALG.A.P. Database. Simply enter the number and press ‘submit’.

that products–e specially fresh fruit and vegetables–come from a certified origin and that the production is safe and sustainable.

Packing House

When the time is ready our Growers will deliver the potatoes to the Packing House.  Samples will be taken and tested, before the delivery is allowed into the Packing House.  Once cleared the potatoes will be checked on the bench by hand before being graded into sizes.  They will then be diverted on the line depending on the final Packaging required. From here they will either be loaded directly on to the waiting refrigerated container or taken to the stores for storage until needed.

Storage

Our storage facilities can hold 4,000 tonnes of potatoes in the correct environment and monitored by computers 24/7.  These facilities enable us to store potatoes throughout the year, therefore providing a continual yearly supply for our customers.

Transport

All our potatoes are transported using refrigerated containers either by road or sea.  We continue to source the most competitive prices from the Companies available to us in Cyprus.  Our logistics department ensures that all containers leave via the best route with all the appropriate paperwork.
